Bidding for government projects in Nepal has become easier and more transparent thanks to the electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system. If you're a contractor or construction company, here's how to get started with bidding on public works projects.
1. Company Registration
You must first register your construction firm with the Department of Industry and be listed as a contractor in the Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) records.
2. Register on the e-GP System
Visit bolpatra.gov.np/egp to create your e-GP user ID. After registration, submit a digital signature and required documents to activate your account.
3. Find Active Tenders
Search for current tenders using keywords, project types, or location filters on the e-GP dashboard. You can also check our Notice & Bids page for updates.
4. Prepare Your Documents
- Company profile
- Tax clearance certificate
- Technical and financial proposal
- Past project experience and work completion certificates
- Bid security amount (as per tender requirements)
5. Submit the Bid
Submit the bid through the e-GP system before the deadline. Make sure all uploads are in PDF and properly signed. Late or incomplete submissions will be automatically rejected.
6. Follow Up
Track bid status via your e-GP dashboard. If awarded, you will receive a Letter of Intent (LOI) and contract signing details.
